Safecity Policies and Conditions of Sale

Welcome to Safecity's Security and Safety Shop.  We specialise in quality security and law enforcement equipment,  safety products sold at attractive prices.  Safecity has a legendary reputation for quality and ethics. We will never compromise quality for financial gain.  

1. Our policy on quality is we will never list security or safety equipment on this site that we would not be willing to use on duty ourselves.  

Orders for prohibited articles, weapons, batons and handcuffs will not be processed unless you provide us with written evidence of a permit, licence or other instrument that permits you to purchase the item.  

Persons attempting to purchase goods unlawfully will automatically be reported to Police.

2. As a general rule we will not charge your credit card until we are ready to ship your good.  

3. Where credit card payment booking in advance is required, we will ask you for specific permission to charge your card ahead of delivery.  The money will be held in a holding account until we deliver the goods.

4. Please choose carefully, many goods are made to measure for you or especially ordered for you.  There are no refunds or returns on specially manufactured goods.  (For example bodyarmour, firearms, duty belts, re-branded products) 

5. New goods are shipped in working order.  If goods are received faulty, and if you have not contributed to the fault in any way, we will exchange or repair the goods under warranty.  This clause does not include bodyarmour, armoured trucks or any product for which we act as sales agents. We will not provide warranty, support or service for such products.

6. If for whatever reason a particular product that we sell or manufacture cannot be guaranteed under warranty, you will be informed of this in writing.

7. If you are not happy with our legal notebooks, torches or expandable batons you should notify us in writing within three days of receipt of the item.  Tell us why you are not happy with the product. 

If your claim is based on factual evidence, we will consider restocking the item.   In such case we will issue a credit for the exact value of the goods.  If the goods are not returned in original conditions, we will not accept them for credit.

We will not accept frivolous claims such as change of mind. 

8. Safecity refers sales for body armour and armoured vehicles and other goods to other manufacturers.  We receive a commission for sales of body armour and armoured vehicles.  We have no control whatsoever over the actions of the manufacturer. In accepting our referral you indemnify us of any harm that may arise from your dealings with the manufacturer. 

This means that you will not hold us responsible for any damage that may arise from your dealings with the manufacturer.  

9 All credit cards are processed manually for your protection and to help prevent credit card fraud.   We must receive confirmation in writing of your order.  We may demand to receive a quality reproduction of the front and back of your credit card.

We reserve the right to refuse payment by credit card.  In such case we will request payment by direct transfer, cheque, money or postal order. 

Some goods cannot be purchased by credit card and you will be advised accordingly.

All records of credit card transactions are encrypted and stored in a secure environment

10. We do not harvest information for resale.  Your details are classified Security In Confidence and stored accordingly.

Your E-mail and details will only be made available to authorities if requested and to Safecity's authorised staff.

We do not spam (sending indiscriminate mail-outs by E-mail).  We give you the opportunity to receive our newsletters.  If you decline, we place your E-mail in the "Never To Be Contacted" list.  If you declined to receive our newsletters and subsequently change your mind, tell us to remove your name from the blocked list.
